1.0 SCOPE
1.1 General
The Organization has adopted International Standard, ISO 9001:2000 which specifies the requirements for a Quality Management System in order to:
a) Demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product(s) that meet(s) customers’ and applicable regulatory requirements, and
b) Enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including the processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
The scope of implementation of this standard is as given below:
“Excavation of Copper Ore and Production & Supply of Copper Concentrate“
1.2 Application
All Quality Management System requirements laid down in International Standard ISO 9001:2000 are applicable to the organization, except the following exclusions from Clause 7 of the standard which are given below:
EXCLUSIONS:
a) Clause 7.3 – Design & Development: The Organization is not involved in design activities of the above products mentioned in the scope. As the processes involve only extraction and processing of copper ore, there is no such design activities are involved. Hence, this clause is not applicable to the activities of the Organization.
b) Clause 7.5.2 – Validation of Special Processes: The Organization does not have any such activities where the outputs cannot be tested / verified for its conformity. Hence, this clause is not applicable to the activities of the Organization.
c) Clause 7.5.4 – Customer Property: The Organization does not receive products, intellectual property or packing materials from customers for incorporation or use of it in the plant activities. Hence, this clause is not applicable to the activities of the Organization
